about

"When in a not so far future astronauts now travellers wait in football stadium size lobbies for their interstellar ships to take them to their far destinations they watch and listen holographical movies and music that's the music i want to propose here"

Representing the best of the ambient world, Lingua Lustra opts for a sky bound realm with “Music For Spaceports 2”. Every song builds on the last in a literal sense. By letting the songs grow in scope and size Lingua Lustra draws from a wide variety of sources. The entire album possesses a shimmering glow reminiscent of shoegaze, particularly the underrated Arizonan band Lovesliescrushing. Crafting an unspoken narrative of sorts, the way the songs intermingle feels majestic. Volume serves the album well for these are songs that deserve to be felt and heard. “Venusian Egg Music” starts things with a sense of wonder. Unfurling with the utmost of care, the glacial pace informs the entirety of the piece. Such delicate layering works wonders in giving the song a truly spiritual quality. Warmer in tone and texture “Alcyon” allows soothing drones to intermingle to form a unified whole. Rather lush, the many moving parts delve into a mysterious world, one whose cyclical repetition gives the song a nearly hypnotic quality. Opting for such a style makes it a highlight of the album. Truly the best piece on the album concludes it, the darkened industrial terrain of “Mysteries Of The Deep Unknown”. At first deeply bleak the song emerges from the shadows and rises into the sky. For the final moment of the piece Lingua Lustra lets everything slip away revealing a lovely world that teems with life. Lingua Lustra delves into gorgeous seas of sound with the ambitious work of “Music For Spaceports 2”. Beach Sloth
