about

"As i understand a manned mission to Mars is within reach the coming 30's so here is my soundtrack for this grand adventure!"

Lingua Lustra’s “Mars” delves into a beautiful world. Throughout the two sprawling pieces Lingua Lustra effortlessly merges a wide variety of genres, from drone to classical all underpinned with a translucent ambient heart. Full of vigor the way the two pieces unfold gives them a patient, masterful quality. By letting these songs unfurl and soar into the sky Lingua Lustra lets them feel not of this world, but akin to transmissions from a far-off place. When taken together, the two pieces nicely complement each other, resulting in a vast sea of melodies. Things begin on a subdued note with the spellbinding softness of “Mars One”. Slowly but surely the song comes into focus. Usage of tension adds to the palpable sense of discovery that adorns the track. From there the song’s many layers intermingle to create one singular, unified stream. Over the course of the piece Lingua Lustra lets things become quite ornate while at the same time not losing that initial spark. Indeed, the joy that the song radiates feels real. By letting the piece unfurl slowly the song possesses a geometric quality, one that grows ever more spirited with each passing moment. Much more blurred the finale “Mars Two” gives the song a mystical quality. Murmured vocals punctuate the dense cloud that dominates the piece. Bass rumbles further emphasize the physical heft of the piece. “Mars” reflects upon the potent poetry of Lingua Lustra’s tasteful choice in textural exploration. Beach Sloth
